The Mists of Avalon

Weird. I don't remember writing this comment.

He's a piece of trash, no doubt, but I'll go with my first impulse on this one and say Case from Neuromancer. Anyone more heroic, and the book might not have worked at all. When a character so jaded and generally screwed up finally gets horrified/pushed into action by something, it has a strong effect on the story.

This. A thousand times, this:

For me, it would have to be Johnny Mnemonic. Keep it closer to the original story, and have a proper Molly in it, and I think you'd really have something.

They made a lot of changes both to Prince Caspian & The Voyage of the Dawn Treader that left a lot of traditional fans (me included) unhappy. I would love to see it redone. There's an old movie series (British, I think, but cannot remember) that I watched when I was younger that just nailed everything from the books

Dragonlance had the potential to be the next Lord of the Rings - but even bigger because each book of Chronicles could have been a trilogy unto itself. With the right people involved, it could have been massive.

Bam

A lot of comments on this article about what a mess these are, or how ugly, but I think there's really a degree of beauty to it. Like crude imitations of spider webs. Or visual manifestations of connections between people - instead of just an open space of an urban area, showing how people are connecting.

I fully expect Batman V. Superman to end with a doctor looking at Wonder Woman. He says, "It's breast cancer." Roll credits.

I liked Gibson's approach in "Neuromancer," in which he had EMP-capable devices strapped to each AI mainframe, to be triggered like a shotgun to the forehead the nanosecond one tries to iteratively self-improve. My favorite tale of AI on AI (and humanity) violence.

I don't think it really matters what a character's sexual preference is.

the last one got the character right, but sadly it blew it with the bad guys. It was as if they were channeling dick tracy, which is a shame as Ray Stevenson knocked it out of the park.

Man, Bob Kane was such a douchebag. "I" created, "I" did, etc. Should have been "we". :\

Now playing

I've also never wanted to eat a live octopus, with the tentacles holding onto my lips while I try to eat it, but hey those crazy South Koreans

Moon's The Deeds of Paksennarion series is extremely good.

Community's Remedial Chaos Theory for sure.

Love many of the movies on the list, but Avatar absolutely does not deserve a spot among such excellent films (especially Moon, which is one of my all-time favorites).
