This was my thinking too. Of course I guess the driver could argue about the timing of the pictures (maybe get your watch in the shot?), but at least you’d have something.
I guess the easiest possible way to fight the fraud would be to take pictures of the the car before you get in and after you get out. But who the hell is going to remember to do that, especially when they are drunk. Is it too much to ask that people not be scumbags?
