Well, at least they mostly kept the “uncanny valley” look on the Titans. I loved their design in the manga/anime because something about their faces seemed “off”. Making them several stories tall also enhances that creepy look.

One thing everyone seemed to miss when describing the Colossal Titan is that it actually doesn’t break down the wall. All it does is kick in the much weaker gate, which is where the Titans then come pouring into the city with. Then it just vanishes, though it’s explained in the manga how that happened.
I think the fire dept should invest in some anti-aircraft missiles. Any drone that doesn’t have specific permission to fly in that area should be shot down for endangering the firefighters.
This reminds me of an old game on the Sega Saturn called “Iron Storm”. In it, there were 3 main campaigns you could play, the US, Nazi Germany, or Imperial Japan. All three campaigns have a bittersweet ending. Some spoilers, but chances are you’re probably not going to play the game anyway:
I think they said that to do a full 12 episode series they’d need a couple of million dollars, and I think this was an experiment to see how well it would work to fund one episode at a time.
Neat. Now only if they could grow some pineapples under the sea...
The anime “Suisei no Gargantia” or Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (it’s English title), discusses this topic.
Once realdoll or their Japanese equivalent gets a hold of this stuff...
Just a thought, but would collecting the evaporated water and turning it back into water be feasible? To reduce land usage, just build some artificial islands by the shore over the ocean, and essentially use a large solar still to collect it.
I really like that he gave electric cars a much needed boost. Automakers prior to the Roadster and Model S coming out were all saying “Nobody wants electric cars”. Then Tesla started eating many of the luxury automaker’s share of the market pie, proving that “yes, people wouldn’t mind electric cars, if you make them…
About the same time subsidies for oil companies go away?
So, will there be an Oculus Rift version of this too?
The North has no chance in winning. Their military is too outdated, they can’t even feed their people, and they won’t have enough gas for their military equipment to run for long enough. On top of that, the South Korean military has also been training their troops to defend against such an attack, and they have a huge…
And it would probably cost $1000.
Haha, there’s a trope for this:
No Plastic Memories? This show really hits you in the feels.
They probably want to do this to forcefully limit how fast players can burn through the new expansion.
So you’re saying we’re screwed when Skynet goes live eh?
This reminds me of Robotics;Notes. They tried to build a realistic gundam-style mecha, but it had numerous issues with it, one of which was a weak engine that barely moved the legs about 5-10 feet before it overheated and broke down.
Actually that was in the first episode. But yeah, this show looks like it’s going to hit you right in the feels, especially now that Isla is starting to warm up to Tsukasa.
