It's been a while since I watched Krull, but now that I take a closer look at that weapon again, I'm really surprised he didn't slice his fingers off accidentally lol.
I loved this level, probably for the reasons you stated in that you can go with what the game recommends, or you can try to shoot your way out, though the game makes it much harder on you as a result, with you getting killed, or Cpt MacMillan dying in case you try to be Rambo.
Penn & Teller did something really similar on their cable show "BS" (you can probably figure the name out, but it's NSFW).

It's nice that they're doing scenarios like this, to hopefully look for potential problems that may arise, and how to prevent them.
This reminds me of "So I Can't Play H". The censorship was so horribly done on the streaming version on crunchyroll that it made the otherwise okay show a hassle to watch.
Rode in one of these while I was stationed back in Ft. Campbell, KY back in early 2000. It felt like a bumpy bus ride.
That said, I always loved seeing these guys fly, especially with several dozen helicopters all flying together in formation. Definitely a sight to behold.

Loved this game. The only thing I hated in it was that stupid quick time event where you fight Krauser with the knife near the end. The buttons you had to press changed every time you played through this part, and you had maybe half a second to press the right button. Pressing the wrong one, or taking too long meant…
