Yeah my financial advice is never to spend HSA money, because it earns income tax free. I have a little over $10k in an account from an old job (no longer HSA eligible) and I just let it accrue interest. Think of it as a bonus Roth IRA, but better, because you aren't tax on the way in or out.
Alright. I'm sorry that I don't vote, but still not going to.
I like Friedman (though I don't always agree with him) generally, and I have voted in elections for politicians I support.
Unproductive comments like this are exactly why I don't vote. Our political system is designed to bully educated thoughtful compromising people out of the system in order to make people who want to make insane Hitler comparisons the lifeblood.
I don't know what you are talking about. I'm very well informed and don't vote because neither party (nor third parties for that matter) represent my views. Also even if I did support a party there is no value in voting since the probability your vote means anything is basically zero. Sorry you are too lazy to have…
Or there are just no good options. If someone who agreed with my political beliefs ever ran I would vote for them, but such a person is yet to arrive. If Bloomberg ever decided he wanted a go at president I would probably get involved then, or if Hickenlooper from Colorado ran, but until there is someone like that,…
I have a masters degree in Economics, and a strong background in mathematics. I'm ambivalent about Obamacare, and don't vote.

I don't vote, and have no political affiliation, but this comment is unproductive and please stop trolling.
I know that this is stated sarcastically, but don't quit or its typically much more difficult to be eligible for any sort of subsidy (and you don't get unemployment in the meantime). If you get laid off, however...
Yeah I would have just defined it as "Hypo-Glycemia"
I agree, though with one caveat. When I take my chain off to clean it a good trick is to spray a bunch of WD40 into an old milk jug drop the chain in and shake it around. While not good as a lubricant, its great at attracting dust and dirt, and therefore makes a pretty good cleaner.
I have an entry level cyclo-cross bike that I use for commuting and actually use it for road rides as well. It was way cheaper than a similarly specced road bike, and I just threw 23mm road tires on it. The geometry isn't that far off from a standard road bike (a little bit higher and more upright), but the brakes are…
Its true that you can get a department store bike for that price, and to be honest I haven't ridden one much. I guess I just look at it from the perspective of a "biker" (I own 5 bikes currently), and have different expectations. I consider a "beginner" road bike ride to be 15-25 miles, intermediate 25-50, and…
Or might inspire them to ride for about a month until everything fails on it.
Yeah I mean I guess it depends a lot on how those things are defined. Also you can get them much cheaper than sticker price by buying end of season.
Yeah the bands might be up to about $1000 for Entry Level, then $1000-$3000 for mid range, $3000+ for high end. Either way, its really hard to find a bike for under $500. I guess it really comes down to how you define "mid range". I generally would classify something with an aluminum frame, carbon fork, and Shimano…
I disagree with the pricing. I would say Entry Level is anything up to $1000-$1500. Mid Level is likely more in the $1500-$3000 end and high level is above $3000.
This goes for both road and mountain bikes, though even a lot of $3k-$3.5k MTB are still reasonably Mid-Level. I have Specialized Epic 29er that retails for…
To be fair, I think this should just extend to life in general. I don't understand why men can't wear a button down shirt and slacks even when going to Walmart. I think that the airport is just where you notice it because thats where you rub elbows most directly with those other demographics. I guess people do dress…
