Come on. It’s not a hundred other faculty members and police could have made a difference. The students deliberately tried to get out of sight. If there was supervision in the bathrooms (ew), they would have gone elsewhere.

These girls wanted to beat up someone. It was premeditated.

Read “Future Ride” by Peter Wayner. He can come up with scenarios that get rid of 95% of the cars. It all depends upon how many rides people take. If the price gets low, people may travel more, keeping more cars around. But the privately owned car is just going to get too expensive. He makes that clear.
