Actually I don't think the Genworth listed them as a title sponsor, and says in the press release that their logo will appear on the rear wing of the FW36.

I didn't know you could charter plains.

I don't really see it that way. They used it as a neat excuse for a fun vacation. Part of the game is the challenge it introduced and trying to figure out how to meet that. Some people live for that sort of challenge and really, how can you bad mouth the experience that it created for them?

Cameraman is an asshole. Call the cops, break the window, and be on your fucking way; video recording the driver and his mother was nothing but humblebragging about his own righteousness.

As a mathematician, that just raises too many questions. Like "can one give negative fucks?" If so, that sounds like it would be equivalent to TAKING a fuck, which is something I would certainly give a fuck about.

Now playing

Thanks for the recap - I'd forgotten how many awesome trailers there were. I remember counting down days until the next GTA4 trailer.

He's certainly not the worst driver in the world. Funnily enough, I had wanted Jeremy to come on the show. I saw Jeremy on the track at Laguna Seca and I thought he needed some help, so I called him up and said we should do some driving together. He thought it was a great idea, but not with him.

It's one of the only dystopian society games that DOESN'T try to look like Bladerunner.

Definitely in the minority here. There's so much to love about the game. The only thing I didn't like was how short it was, and how it set up a cliff hanger ending (like Psi-Ops... another amazing game), but never delivered a sequel to continue Faith's story.

And yeah the story wasn't amazeballs, but it was a lot

First off, you never have to use a gun in the game. Not once outside of the tutorial stage. Second, not every game needs an Oscar winning story/set of characters. Mirror's Edge is just fun as hell to play once you get into a rhythm.

I dunno, have you ever played the five games up there? Risk may cause some tantrums, but unless you've played the five above, I'm not sure you're qualified to say the list fails without Risk.

The only way Monopoly or Risk are going to ruin friendships is if somebody seriously suggests you play them. Then you can laugh at them and tell them to get out.

Based on this I can already guess as to the type of player you are. You had it coming. :P

Fantastic list! I would also nominate:

No, they really are poorly designed. People who move from Risk/Monopoly to modern board games consistently report that they realize, in retrospect, they weren't really having fun. And design is not, in any case, a completely subjective quality.

Why does picking more popular games make the list better? How does that add credibility? Why focus on games that don't fit the criteria?

No, they really shouldn't. These games are better at ruining friendships than Monopoly. The point of the article wasn't to name the most popular bad board games, otherwise sure Monopoly and Risk would be up there..

You'd think since you obviously read the article before posting you'd notice its mention in the first paragraph.

Space Alert Is this essentially FTL muliplayer co-op? if so that sounds awesome!!
