No problem- thanks. I have days like that too.

This version of the story is a little more nuanced.
I wasn't criticising you. I was asking, specifically why YOU dislike her. Your comments caught my attention as I skimmed over them, bored & unable to sleep.
Why do you believe she's such a terrible human being? Genuine question.
"...and not shoving it down your throat."
But what if their responses were due to being a victim rather than POTENTIAL offender?
Your suggestion is ludicrous. Like psychopathy, it's been found that specific brain patterns are present in people who are paedophiles (still being researched, I believe). Not all go on to offend, like psychopaths.
Fair amount of confirmation bias going on there...
He'll probably very generously donate the fee to a charity supporting victims or something...assuming such an organisation would accept it.
Paedophilia is a sexual preference.
I don't even know that mental illness is the right category. It's a sexual preference, surely? One that must be horrendous to live with for those with a conscience- imagine having to always stay away from children & how difficult that must be?
Apparently, there is a treatment centre in Germany, though I don't know much about it. It was mentioned in a recent UK documentary about a paedophile who hadn't offended & hated his attraction to children. He wasn't solely attracted to kids so not at the far end of that spectrum. Interesting. We used to have a pretty good employment tribunal system where it was free to lodge claims. then the Tories introduced ridiculous fees that no-one can afford & good system wrecked for most people.

Erm, what?
Those who stand by & do nothing might as well be perpetrators.
Are there other "protected characteristics" than race? Eg in UK (mainly thanks to the EU), workers also have protection on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage & civil partnership, pregnancy & maternity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation.
Deleted- double post 😩
I'm in the UK & here, you can sue an employer who insists on (or puts pressure on you to implement) discriminatory policies. So a manager instructed not to employ black people could sue under our Equality Act.
I've just read the original piece. POLLY IS AWESOME!
