Complete shot in the dark, but...maybe a safety feature?...or lack thereof in the other windows. Might be cheap to put auto up/down windows in all doors, but not so cheap to install safety features to prevent getting your passengers' fingers or other body parts caught in a auto-closing window.

Got a 523d Touring. Love everything about it, except iDrive. Prefer Audi MMI or any touch screen over it.

Weird...I drove a white A5 when I lived in LA and I just leased a 523d Touring here in Japan. Haven't taken delivery yet, but I think it's way better looking than the sedan and definitely kills the GT. I checked out the A6 Avant too, but what turned me off was that it was around $700/mo more and I don't need Quattro
