If you were offered a job, declined, and then took a different job at 7% of the salary of the first job...wouldn’t you consider that peanuts? And wouldn’t like 3 billion people in the world be justified in whining, “I guess that means I make eggshells or dust”?

I may be wrong, but I don’t think MLB players get a significantly higher %age of the league’s revenue than other pro athletes.

They make large salaries because the revenue is there, not because they hold the game hostage, and force the owners to generate more revenue so that they can pay the players.
