If you don’t notice that your going 100MPH in a 55MPH zone, that’s just bad driving.

So learn to control it. My old car had 325BhP and a rocket full of torque, and I never was going 100MPH in a 55MPH zone and didn’t realize it. This guy wasn’t going 80 in a 55.. He nearly doubled the speed limit on a highway.
I have no sympathy. One of my best friends was driving a week before her high school graduation when a wild dude in a sports car t-boned the SUV she was riding in. She lost her hand from the elbow bc she was riding with it leaning out the window and he pushed over her SUV. It wasn’t just 100mph, it was 100 in a 55.…
Support a builder and buy a hot rod, something hand made and insane.
Don’t be naive.. He fully gets it, he just doesn’t care.
IMHO, Microsoft hit the nail on the head. Free, with a small disclaimer saying it’s fan made, and it’s totally cool. Just don’t sell it.
Do you guys think that Mario Maker will make it harder for Nintendo to sell regular 2d Mario games? Whenever I played Mario for Switch, I just kept thinking “I payed $60 for 40 levels when Nintendo has the ability to easily make hundreds of levels without extra coding, and empower fans to make thousands more.”.
I feel the line is clear, monetization. If you are selling fan fic, there is an argument to be made that you are profiting off someone else’s base work, and reducing their income as some people might buy the new work over rereading the original. If it’s free, then it should be allowed.
Lol awesome.
The Renton factory is so weird.. On one hand, it has absurdly tight security. BUT, it’s also on a municipal airport so you have new airliners waiting on the tarmac for some dentist’s Cessna to take off.
Stasis was super important for me. Especially when you could freeze an object, beat it to hell, then unfreeze it and watch it go flying.. I used that a ton to move stuff,
Agreed. For decades my dad made jokes about how his old Jaguar used to fall apart when the wind blew too hard, and he found a leftover stapler between body panels and people just laughed and said “it’s soo pretty!”.
I think the issue is sales. If it’s released for free, it should be left on its own. If it’s sold, then that’s another issue. Just to remind people, sometimes this seriously hurts creators. Even at big studios, many people at all levels have bonuses that rely on how a project sells. Yes, the fan made games are a…
I know everyone will hate me for saying this, but I think the sheer decibel level of a Harley is something younger generations aren’t into. I’m not saying it’s the only or biggest reason, but I do believe there is a market for a Harley styled (especially vintage) bike that is as loud as a normal car.
You may be correct. I would argue my point if it were any developer other than Valve, but I find I really have ZERO understanding when it comes to decisions they make.
I don’t agree. Mods and small stuff is one thing, but if they think it will reach a large audience, they will crush it. Allowing violations, however small, really does make it harder to enforce your trademark, even from simple piracy. Also, there are a bunch of issues with devaluing your own IP. If someone is feeling…
Every single one of these big fan projects ends the same way.
I’m usually the last person to enfold a conspiracy theory, but i’d bet money that we don’t know the full story, and that VW made some sort of handshake agreement with the workers. Most likely nothing huge, just “listen, you don’t let in UAW, and we won’t cut any shifts for X amount of time, and will do something small…
I don’t see the difficulty, just expense. Grab a credit card and hit the internet. It’s Square, they can afford to buy them again.
It’s worse than that. The real Tesla investors are mutual funds and banks, and they don’t buy fudged number BS. They literally go so far as to check how many cars are registered in each state/country, send guys with cameras to photograph storage lots, and everything else under the sun. Fanboys aren’t the real people…
