I’m really curious.. Do you honestly believe that most fans want nostalgia over new content? We’re talking about the only major D2 area expansion of the year, and players can still turn on D1 and play the level. It baffles me.

They said multiple times in the interview that casual fans aren’t playing the game. That “Joe Walmart” doesn’t play anymore, and that’s the basis for all the changes to the game. It’s all about hardcore players now. I’m not advocating for craziness, but I do strongly believe that if you polled 1000 D2 players and said…
Don’t forget it’s not a zero sum game. Just bc many ppl have upvoted going to the moon, or are excited for it, doesn’t mean they would choose that over brand new content.
And you believe that if they polled 1000 casual players they would say they prefer to go back to a D1 location over somewhere new?
I disagree with the comment that they are starting to get what people want. Yes, some people are excited, but I stand by the notion that if you polled 1000 players on whether they want to go back to the moon or have a new area, they would choose a new area.
I’m shocked at the lack of weapons and armor. Even if they never leaned into MMO territory, am I crazy for thinking a team of 600 could make a wide variety of cool looking armors? There are around 21 armor sets available from open world, with the torso being the only part other players can truly distinguish. That’s…
I couldn’t disagree more. If you polled 1000 hardcore players on if they want the big new expansion to be going back to the moon or somewhere new, I doubt the vast majority would say “I want to go back! I haven’t spent enough time at the moon.”
Hearing them try to explain “Oh no, it’s definitely more fun to go back to somewhere you have already been than a new environment”is exactly what’s wrong with Destiny. I will never understand the constant lack of content in the game, even smaller stuff like them rarely adding any new weapons or armor. Is it really…
I have what may be a dumb question.. Why can’t they use multiples of existing tech? For example why not design existing battery tech into 4 main parts, and charge each quarter simultaneously. You could put all four cables in one sleeve. To clarify, I know there’s probably a reason, I just don’t know what it is.
Yes, Trump is a willfully ignorant nutter without comparison. That being said, he is trying to say that European nations are suing US tech giants over monopolistic practices, but, they are doing so in an effort to get money, not in an effort to enforce the law. He believes the EU is suing because they think that US…
If you travel a lot, buy a bright colored bag. Everyone has a black duffle, but you can spot a bright red/orange one on the carousel w/o having to check the tags. Same with a car. If you park in big lots often, it’s far easier to find an orange car than a more common color.
If anyone is curious about actual game pitching, here is a GDC talk by a Sony publisher about it, and what not to do.. It gives a great look into pitching, and why publishers choose to make specific games.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I won’t try to impeach your person views, but I do strongly disagree with your assertion that their aren’t many good games released every year. Quality games come out all the time. Yes, many new games suck, but, many don’t. To imply that new “good” games are rare is…
Online there are lists of the key codes to unlock super weapons in BL2, and it totally changes the game. Usually your only supposed to get one every so often, but it’s fun to play when you have unlimited access to the best weapons.. No need to farm.
Name 3 movies Brie Larson has stared in where she deserved extra notice for her acting. She’s a fine actress, I’m not trashing her, but she isn’t extraordinary.
Ugh, fuck a Warcraft 3 remake. I’m so sick of studios remaking games I’ve already played, just with new graphics (hello FF7).. There are thousands of games released a year, many of them good. I don’t want to spend money and time on a game I’ve already played. FF7 was amazing, but I’d rather pay $20 for an emulated…
It’s obvious that someone said “Everyone is pissed, but it sold really well. Fuck it, instead of spending money on new content let’s just let it slowly die and move on to something else.”
How is no one talking about the fact that on Memorial Day, FCA announced a deal that would see the French Government own a massive stake of Jeep?
Phones get wet and screens shatter. Regardless of the original plan, always bring a a keychain fire starter if you hike in treacherous territory. Smoke can be seen for miles.
Seems to me that Lucasfilm should learn from Marvel, and use the shotgun approach. They often come up with a plot idea, like “a Captain Marvel movie set in the 1990’s”, then order 20 ‘treatments’ (plot outlines) about it and pick the best one. When they have the best outline, they expand it to a full script, sometimes…
