You know what? I was barely 21 when I met my now husband, who was 30 at the time. I’m 34 now. I can definitively say, from experience, that I’m over this bullshit argument.
“They were both adults at the time” doesn’t mean jack shit if one person is a teenager/early twenties and the other is a full grown adult. The…
I mean... it looks like Portman cares whether or not people think they fucked.
Also because there is never a bad time to play this:
I’ve been waiting 22 years for this clip to be relevant, and now it finally has happened!
Disappointed it’s not a immersive. Looks like the typical formula. I was hoping for some Breath of the Wild type revamp of the formula into an immersive RPG like I’ve always wanted for the console. This looks like a 3DS game running on Switch.
I think its “not UK” rather than not england. The outfits scream “not Scotland“
I’m mixed on this announcement. I love the choice of region, being “England, but without Brexit and instead with electric mice.” I am mixed on the starters, Grookey is ok, Sobble is eh, but Scorbunny looks awesome.
Path of Pain would have been impossible for me if I hadn’t been looking something up and seen a recommended build for it and even then...you had to be a Swiss watch of timing and precision to make it through. Yet Team Cherry was as kind as they were cruel and made it so you only had to really get through it one screen…
I think Bloodborne and Dark Souls bosses might be a little fairer. Hollow Knight opens up considerably after a certain point, and it’s more common to stumble into a boss that might have been easier to beat if you had gone a different route and found certain charms or movement upgrades first.
I’m glad you said this - I thought I was crazy or getting old or something. I also have the platinum in BB and Hollow Knight keeps handing me my ass like I’m nothing. I’ve even given up for a while and gone back to Monster Hunter because it’s a lot less frustrating.
I think a lot of it can come down to both personal preference and previous experiences with particular genres and styles. I adapted and got good at Souls games. A lot of it is learning from your mistakes and breaking “bad” habits from other games. I was used to stuff like Bayonetta and DMC, so I had to learn patience…
I haven’t played many “hard” games, but for me I’d say the Path of Pain from Hollow Knight.
The ML image training they use for deepfakes is actually pretty close to what my lab’s been using to work on diagnosing lung cancer more efficiently from a huge composite batch of patient CT scans; it may not qualify as curing a disease, per se, but the technique and tools are very directly applicable to the modern med…
What he should have said:
To explain the mentalities you described, I have to refer to a subset of fandom that, over the years I’ve started to term ‘purists’ or ‘canon purists’ to be clearer. In this context ‘canon’ refers to the original body of work, as presented by its creator.
The series focuses less on the all-encompassing power of Lucifer and instead on the more “human” aspects of him. Though as I write regularly, the show is very aware he’s not human — that gets him into a lot of predicaments. It takes the concept of Lucifer as a fallen angel and his relationship with his family (God,…
Agreed, very strongly. Particularly given that the past decade for Pixar has been quite a fall off a previously high cliff. (I’d say 2010 was the year of their last truly great release.) Disney Animation has fared far better in that same period, but neither can touch Ghibli, for me.
(I know Disney distributes Ghibli films in the U.S. but...) Ghibli films blow Disney/Pixar stuff outta the water. Best animation there is, along with Laika Studios’ work.
Just had to say that. Very looking forward to this new film. Hope we all survive to see it!
