A friend of mine who’s normally a smart, reasonable dude fell for the Pence trap. “Oh, at least he’s calm and smooth!” I’m like, c’mon man, those are NOT the top, most important metrics by which we should judge a president.
If Pence gets the oval office via the impeachment of Trump, he’d come in with no mandate and no political capital. He’d be seen as a placeholder. If the GOP tries to pass drastic legislative changes in that scenario, they’ll be out on their asses in 2018 - gerrymandering be damned.
Pence also has all the charisma of a fart, so he will be easier to beat in 2020 if there is an election.
I don’t know, man. After Nixon’s embarrassing resignation, the Republicans still controlled the Executive Branch for 14 of the next 20 years.
You know, I’ve looked and I’ve looked and I just can’t see anywhere in my comment where I said a single fucking thing about Hillary Clinton.
As the residents of Trumpistan are so fond of saying, she lost. Get over it. Focus on the short-fingered piss golem we’ve got to deal with now.
I don’t think any reasonable person doubts that those things would be far less likely under Clinton.
If Republicans were smart—if they were a rational political party able to act in their own best interests—they’d impeach Trump as soon as possible.
YES YES YES I DO! I loved watching the surgeries. It was awesome.
For the love of Fuck wtf America. Everything is just one big reality show except I’ve not been offered the open bar.
Do you remember when TLC, History, and the Discovery channel were full of educational programming?
Pepperidge Farm Remembers.
Exactly.
“I’d say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work”
“What’s attendance mean?”
Same here. Terrible consequences, though — I got a master’s degree and am self-employed and debt-free; my brother is in jail (again) awaiting trial for meth distribution (again). He’s never held a job for more than two years, didn’t finish college. I blame it on him getting his ass kissed all through child-/teen-hood.…
Mentally adding “...but in a good way.” to all horrible news I read this week.
I will be 42 this year, and I am still resentful of the double standard and favoritism showed to my brother simply because he is a boy.
Al Davis w/o being a visionary in the early days of the AFL and ahead of his time in the 70s (a true “second chance” trendsetter) . . . Before screwing over community after community and running his team into the gutter. You are spot on.
jed could very well be the next al davis, but hes going to have to have winning teams before that happens...
