My deepest. I hope you two have a good and love filled day tomorrow.

This is my first Thanksgiving without my mom, who passed in July. Her birthday was in October. It’s rough, I’m so sorry :(

Yeah August

Lol at least your brother sounds like a good egg though

I am tearing up. I truly hope the two of you have a wonderful day tomorrow filled only with fond memories and no pain.

Thanksgiving has always been the best holiday for me, Mom and Dad. Even though it was just the three of us, Mom would insist on making a 23-25 lb turkey (they REALLY like leftovers).

I was in college. living in a one bdrm apartment with my friend, who had the living room as his bedroom. We hosted T’giving dinner. Among the guests was this guy we sort of liked and his girlfriend who we did not like. We are all EATING picnic style because who had a table? when awful girlfriend comes out of our

“Brown River”

True story, my family never had stuffing on the Thanksgiving table when I was little. (We’re pretty culturally tied to the motherland, not all of the North American traditions sunk in with my Mummo. Lanttulaatikko was mandatory instead.) Then, my brother tried it at a friend’s house and was raving about how much he

When I got engaged my mom always lectured me in front of my fiance that he was going to be “the head of the household” by virtue of having a penis. We’d just share a knowing glance and laugh. Now I use it against him though. Can’t decide what restaurant to go to? Oh honey, you have to pick because you’re the head of

So I am a newly wed in my first fairly good size condo, and my hubby and I decide that we should have the whole damn fam over for Thanksgiving.

Okay, this is going to be wordy so settle in.

For years my grandfather raved about my mom’s stuffing at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then one year he and Granny came early and found out that it was really Stove Top. A little awkward. Also her “gravy” mostly consists of Campbell’s cream of chicken mushroom soup. Pretty damn good though.

I didn't because I was enjoying silently laughing with my brother too much.

Turning negativity into a fun game. Well done, very well done.

I'm sorry you were in that place, I've been there too. I'm glad you made it. You always seem a good person Kingwolf. I'm pleased you are here. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving x

Did you let them know about the bingo game, illustrating that they are not only assholes, but predictable?

:( I’m so glad you weren’t successful!

My parents who are awful and emotionally abusive invited themselves to stay at my house a week for Thanksgiving. Luckily I was able to cope by guessing what they were going to complain about and turning it into a game of insult bingo with my brother and husband. That way, when they insulted me, I was excited to fill

I tried to kill myself a few days before Thanksgiving one time. That made things extremely awkward.
