Yep. I work from home and I’ve noticed that I have started to get sick much more frequently (and severely) than I ever used to in the past. I’m sure it’s because I don’t come into contact with enough different people/germs. And every time I see or visit my nieces I get horribly sick because little kids are genuine

It’s not only that, it’s that people don’t know how to critically evaluate the sources that they find. They think everything on the internet is true and if someone wrote something, it must be correct. Look at the damn source and THINK about it.

Likely it didn’t happen because her parents were smart enough to vaccinate her.

I’m glad it wasn’t anything worse than rotavirus that helped to convince her. This could have had a much more tragic ending.

Well it’s a shame it took her whole family getting sick but it’s refreshing to hear an anti-vaxxer say “I was wrong, I was batshit, I’ve since researched and have changed my mind”.

Nothing on the Stamos shower scene? I mean, the entire episode was a trainwreck, but those 20 seconds encouraged me to continue writing General Hospital fanfic.

The first season of Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens was a roller coaster—not because it was an unexpected thrill, but because it varied so much in quality, coming strong out of the gate, plunging in the middle, and making a steady comeback by the end.

I’ve met Giada several times back in the day when her book tour came through the bookstore I worked at. I asked her about this, since having kids seemed to take the wind out of my “make awesome dinners” sails. She said if she had kids (at the time, she didn’t), she also would probably end up making 5 minute mac and

Eh, I don’t think Ree’s kids will be that surprised. She uses more canned garbage in her cooking than my grandma. (love you grandma...)

Honestly, of all the Food Network people with shows, I probably make her recipes the most. But goddamn you’re right about the completely ridiculous overpronuciation of Italian words. Plus she’s always making bolognese in a white shirt. Who does that?

“Hope it pays for a maid.”

I sometimes look at people like this (and The Pioneer Woman and Giada DiLaurentis, etc) and wonder if their children have an extremely rude awakening when they go out into the world and realize almost no one has a fresh-picked stuffed artichoke for dinner, and Hot Pockets are out of the question because they would

I’m gonna go ahead and guess that the “visitors” to her Bordeaux kitchen are people with even nicer houses and exponentially more money paying her an extravagant amount per night to go to a glorified bed-and-breakfast-and-cooking-lessons French vacation.

Good work, if you can get it. Hope it pays for a maid.

In her kitchen, visitors spend several days learning not just how to cook, but about how to realize the sort of life Mrs. Thorisson writes about online: a dreamy one, filled with food, simplicity and children.

I guess you could say he got more people talking about the issue of police treatment of minorities, though weeks later you still have a lot of folks saying these silent protests are un-patriotic, etc. Hopefully these players will inspire folks to do something positive in their community, and the discussion will force

I went out to the bars Thursday and Sunday to watch the games, the tone was shockingly anti-Kaep.

I agree, obviously Vets don’t deserve the treatment they got in the 70s but it’s swung way too far the other way. We can’t have healthy and honest discussions with all this hero worship. Worst part is all these companies and politicians that shamelessly use Vets as props.

It’s weird to me that it became a troop thing. The flag and song represent a lot more than just troops. And it’s weirder that we can’t criticize the military. It’s a mixed bag like any organization, but we can’t say anything bad or try to cut funding (even if the Pentagon wants certain things cut). Is it just the

I will say this: I occasionally frequent a football-related website. The fan site itself might skew a little more liberal than you might expect, but what has been stunning is the amount of high-level discussion. Football fan boards are supposed to be one step removed from 4chan, and yet I’ve seen a steady, consistent

*Not in the traditional way that NFL quarterbacks are expected to win......but still.
