This poor fucking kid. And before people weigh in with this: Yes he was stupid. Yes his privilege led him To believe that grabbing a poster would be a fun prank. Yes, no sane person not on a jpurnalism or humanitarian mission should go to North Korea.

I don’t think we have a bunch of people telling kids that “being bullied is the end of the world.” I think we have a bunch of kids being harassed at every fucking turn and when you’re 11, 12, 13 years old it’s hard to imagine that life gets better because you’re a fucking kid and to a kid a year is like a lifetime.

The school system is so fucking bureaucratic now that everything has to be investigated and approved before anything can be done. Goddamnit. We just failed an 11-year old. She couldn’t hang a fucking poster??

The bullying element has grown SO much now that kids have technology at their fingertips 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Used to you could go home and be safe from hate, but not anymore. Bullying (combined with mental health issues) is what landed my daughter in a psychiatric hospital last month with suicidal thoughts.
