I am actually ok with this, and frankly wouldn’t be against the idea that every new car should be required to have something like this.  With the caveat that either owner cooperation, in case of a stolen vehicle, or a court order be required to use it.

We need charging stops with AMENITIES, and truck stops are a natural; a road traveler could even take a shower there on a long trip.
