BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:

Are you calling Engelbert Humperdinck bland?

Eurovision this weekend! Anyone else excited?

I just discovered Discsox which solves a major space issue without having to compromise my preference for physical media.

I don't expect much from the people in political power these days but I do expect them to have a craven sense of self-preservation. At some point, surely, someone has to realize that they need to go after Trump before he goes after them. Or is even that too much to ask?

Yay, Sally Phillips in the top three! The only reason I can think is because she appeared in Veep a few times. Although there was a Smack the Pony reunion during Red Nose Day. I first saw her in Jam & Jerusalem where she played David Mitchell's sister and I always enjoy seeing them together.

BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:

No Such Thing as a Fish had John Hodgman as its guest. He did much better there than he did on QI.

BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:

The article doesn't mention it but NuWho fans might be interested in A Very British Scandal which will be written by Russell T. Davies. It's been a while since Davies has done a straightforward drama so that should be interesting.

It hasn't been announced yet. The Big Fat Everything's from last year aired in August. They were recorded in June so we might have an idea in a month or so.

I think NPR times its most annoying interviews for when my radio alarm goes off. (It works. I'm motivated to get up but then I'm cranky all morning.) They interviewed the House Majority Whip about the bill and his arguments for passing it seemed to be 1) It'll be okay because the states will keep all the important

BRITISH PANEL SHOWS

No panel shows, no deal.

The Looming Tower is a fantastic book but I have no desire to see it dramatized. Also, it doesn't look like this will deal with the Al-Qaeda part of the book which I thought was the most interesting.

It's nice to see the original, off-kilter musicals doing so well. For a while it looked like we were going to be stuck with jukebox musicals and movie adaptations.

4. Should have been nominated for an Oscar for Christine and an Emmy for Parade's End and is, in general, too often overlooked for excellent work.
