I can only assume the Doctor and the TARDIS are off this list because the TARDIS technically isn't inanimate. I'd also like to nominate Scrooge McDuck and his Number One Dime and "Stephen Colbert" and Sweetness.

I haven't played Story of Seasons but from what I hear it's the closed to Harvest Moon.

How interested are you in combat? Also, how much do you enjoy rhythm games?

That's not what I heard. I heard he grew up to be Marilyn Manson.

It worked for Blackpool but I think that was like catching lightning in a bottle. It certainly didn't work for Viva Blackpool

I loved it but I also wasn't as bothered by the repetitious part - they mix up the boss battles and you get some interesting dialogue each time you fight. I really like the battle system and the mixing and matching of jobs. The ability to turn off random battles is also a blessing.

I enjoyed Chrono Cross, particularly the battle system. I agree that it suffered in comparison to the Chrono Trigger. But it is one of the most fun games to try to describe to someone. You can play as a robot, an alien, a mermaid, a rock star whose weapon is a guitar — the complete randomness is something I've been

Did I miss it or was there no article about Matt LeBlanc joining Top Gear? I still think the new incarnation is doomed but it looks like it will be doomed in an interesting way.

Agreed. Since you mentioned Nate Ruegger above, did you listen to the holiday special where Ruegger and Sherri Stoner play Slappy and Skippy again?

I was hoping the AV Club would post a tribute article. They aren't as well known but once you start to look into the world of voice actors, you realize just how huge their impact is.

I'm seeing a disturbing lack of Willem Dafoe, Stephen Root, Vicki Lewis, Allison Janney and Austin Pendleton in this list. So I'm assuming none of the fish tank fish made it out alive.

SPOILERS

Wouk wrote a stage version of the story which is just the courtroom scenes and a short epilogue at the end. I saw a local production of that before I saw the movie and that's a really strange order to do it in. It lacked the performances of the film but the writing was bit more nuanced and Ferrer's character becomes

I love this album. Sail Away is, quite rightly, considered his masterpiece but I would put this up next to it (I also have a soft spot for Faust.)

I did so well for 90% of that game and in the last level it suddenly turned into a flying game. I had to get my brother to finish it for me.

Not that they haven't shown numerous times that they can work around it but she already appeared on the show (Fear Her). Same with the first person I thought of, Sophie Okonedo, aka Liz 10.

Good luck, Chibnall. It's a testament to how beloved Doctor Who is that anyone wants to put themselves in a position where they're one of the most hated people on the Internet no matter what they do. But he survived the reaction to Broadchurch, Series 2 so I think he can handle it. I wonder if Moffat will drop in

I've seen The Godfather, Part II. Does that count?

I suppose it's pretty redundant to say that Batman: The Animated Series did a great job with a DC character but, Batman: The Animated Series did a great job with this character.
