He wasn't so much a correspondent but a contributor, more along the lines of Lewis Black. His segment was called The Ugly American if I remember right.

Jon wasn't even married when he started the show. It's going to be an adjustment for everyone.

I love They Might Be Giants. But the superstitious part of me is glad they haven't appeared after that one time. (I look forward to what I expect will be their many appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert).

I've said this before but I suspect Noah was picked specifically as a replacement. If you listen to the show's podcasts, all the other correspondents have stories about being asked to audition. Whereas Noah's was him being called by the show and basically offered a job.

I think it's that they used to use the correspondents more. The episodes used to be a lot more broken up with multiple correspondent pieces appearing every day. Now it's just as common for the entire first act to be Jon by himself or an entire episode where no correspondents appear.

Having everyone come out to dance at the end made it. Especially seeing Jon dancing with his kids.

Can't say much more than what has already been said. It was wonderful seeing some of the old gang back together (Nancy Walls! Vance DeGeneres! - who still looks exactly the same). Having Springsteen at the end was perfect. I knew Colbert is going to do something special and he was also perfect. Seeing and hearing

Didn't Colbert have something at the Newseum also? Also, I wonder if the person who won the old set's couch still has it.

Yes. And it's a very weird angle they've chosen for this story. The fact that The League of Gentlemen isn't even mentioned is what makes me think his appearance in AiTaS is all the writer of the article knows him from.

Given that this article is mainly about whether Shearsmith will be playing Troughton, I'm wondering if the writer is aware of who Shearsmith is.

I think he and Pemberton officially moved on to Inside No. 9.

Stephen will have the advantage of not having Jay Leno trying to get back in.

- Pitch: http://thedailyshow.cc.com/… It's not the sort of thing they would have done for a long time now but it still makes me laugh out loud.

Comedy Central is showing a marathon of The Daily Show all day today (except for 10pm when there's an episode of Review). This includes his very first episode at the perfectly normal starting time of 12:09.

How could someone overlook years worth of Produce Pete segments?

Boy, that guy seems like a real joker.

I'm also looking forward to having him back. I'm much less worried about this transition than when he went from The Daily Show to the The Colbert Report.

Based on Mangan and Darren Boyd's tweets, it doesn't look like it.

Does Myst count? Because once you know how to beat it, you can get it done pretty quickly.

It's nice to see them branching outside the sci-fi genre (although the TOWIE credit is throwing me a bit). Maybe someday they'll figure out how not to screw over their comedies.
