I'm assuming that these people have never actually watched anything with the Muppets because "achievements, disappointments, wants and desires" are pretty much the main themes of most of the Muppet movies.

I'll never forget when Miss Piggy was on The Daily Show and Jon Stewart asked her if she had a little frog in her throat.
Lin-Manuel Miranda has written a musical about Hamilton which is currently the hottest ticket in New York. Critics have been pretty uniformly positive about it and it's most intriguing show I've heard about in long time.
It was definitely King-esque enough for King to reference it in Doctor Sleep.
I still love 20th Century Ghosts more than his other novels. It really reminded me of his father's best short story collections. If you don't mind graphic novels, don't skip the Locke and Key series.
I really love All the King's Men. It's a wonderful combination of beautiful writing and good old fashioned plottiness.
When I saw that picture, I thought, "I wonder what new release has a similar cover to Pastoralia?" It's my favorite of Saunders' books.
Do kids even know who Barney is anymore? I haven't seen him on television for years.
If I remember correctly, he had already been diagnosed when he made this. I also seem to remember that he was dating Meryl Streep at the time.
I can't see them wanting to do a TV show.
So the lesson we should take from this is that Starbucks employees should be taking the time out to make sure my name is spelled correctly rather than making my drink as fast as possible?
So when you said "When a band name serves as a collective noun, it should be treated singularly," you're disagreeing with yourself?
So you're saying a band name acts a collective noun for a group of musicians?
By that logic, people should be saying "The Birds are a movie by Alfred Hitchcock."
The "They" in They Might Be Giants does not refer to the members of the band, however. John and John have said several times that the phrase looks outward - they are looking at something supposing they are giants - rather than them suggesting they themselves might be giants.
It's not specific to the kids' albums but I am weirdly proud of the fact that every child I know under the age of 7 is obsessed with the song "Hot Dog!"
You may want to try Dial-a-Song which has 2 CDs worth of greatest hits. However, it was also released about a decade ago and will be missing the last few albums.
And even "The House at the Top of the Tree" has that mouse that apparently eats humans.
I would expect nothing less from these gentlemen. Although I can't comment on the album specifically. I've got a vinyl copy hopefully on its way.
It's weird that The Guardian got this interview. Does the UK even air The Daily Show anymore? Good article though, especially his bafflement at Piers Morgan's career.
