My modus operandi is measure once, cut twice, so I'm well versed in fuckup fixing, but there is no way in hell I'm paying $28K to fix someone else's mistakes. I mean seriously, it looks like just about everything on this car would need to be redone. No thank you.

Come back tomorrow and it will all make sense.

Maybe, but I'm guessing it bent down like that because it creased at the weak shackle point, a stock truck would have most likely bent up, (seen it).

You're right, late 80's/early 90's Fords frames have issues, mostly with rivets. Over time they loosen and when the trucks are overloaded, the frame can bend right behind the cab. I think there was even a recall or a service bulletin, I just remember the rivets could not be welded, the fix had to be grade 8 bolts.

Maybe rust, but the lift probably was more to blame. Leaf spring lifts are well known for bending frames; the change in geometry will crack or break the spring perch(s). So when installing the lift the rednecks over heat the frame, or destroy it by attempting to weld on some strengthening gussets or fish plates. A

Let go!

What can I say...the Volvo wagon makes anyone a badass

I was busted doing burnouts (not donuts) in my parents old 145 volvo wagon, (automatic) and the cop threatened to tell my dad. I said go ahead, he'll never believe it.

Haha, first time seeing this, hilarious! How could he not know?

Such a sexy description, excuse me while I go beat my panel like a master.

The engine smokes, the interior is thrashed and it's a six banger. This a complete hack job, someone needs to slap this guy.

I towed a '59 caddy on a two axle car hauler with diesel rabbit pickup. If it's got four wheels and a motor, it'll tow. You must be an engineer.

They're both 454's

"Not a cement truck"? "...look more like tankers"? What the hell are you talking about? This is a cement truck. Period.

Hopefully any new technology coming out of this can be utilized to produce something the average person could purchase. These luxury "green" cars are really not helping the planet much, and if anything, they stunt hybrid vehicle devolvement by fueling the anti-electric, global-warming denying, Al Gore hating

Apples & oranges. The Raptor is not a "Runner", it's a street truck, and would require major mods to actually pre-run a real course. Sure, the Ram Runner is no race truck, but it would do heaps better off road that a stock Raptor. You can't compare the two.

You are correct, a gum wrapper is like a $500 fine, and if you toss a bottle, and it breaks, they take you to jail, (seriously). But boy do they have some tidy beaches.

I usaully skip these RC stories because....I'm an adult, but that was pretty spiffy. Some kid obviously spent heaps of time on it.

A Volvo? Come on, it has to be Miata.
