I’m not in the Biden camp, I definitely think we need better. But there’s a big difference between calling someone “a sweetheart” and calling them “sweetheart” as if it’s their name. One is a bit of an outdated compliment, the other is extremely condescending to say to someone who isn’t your SO.

There’s still a decent chance Biden will be the nominee and it’s in Republicans benefit to make him seem the same as Trump. Especially with Trump now in scandal involving Hunter Biden and Ukraine.

She was also much tougher with Biden than with Warren. Which is why he teased her with his, “you’re a lovely person” (the audience was on his side and laughed.)

He hasn’t been annointed anything. He’s leading in the polls at this very early date (although it seems not the case anymore in Iowa.) There’s no conspiracy, many Democrats are moderate, and many like the guy.

I’m not a fan of Joe Biden, but this title is a mess. It is possible to fight for and believe in the equality of the sexes and use the word sweetheart. Calling a woman sweetheart does not mean a person is somehow opposed to equality.
