Yeah, and I wonder what he’ll try and do about it-emphasis on try.   Declare martial law?

No, that’s not her. I think Elyse was studying for med school before the show.

O yeah. She had a bit of scorn for the whole thing. And I’ve never forgot her “You.. you bitches.” I really liked her.

I used to love reading Elyse Sewell’s LiveJournal, documenting her travails and experiences working as a model in Asia, which is where she got most of her work.   She was very funny, wry, smart and well-written, a jaundiced eye on the industry and the silliness of it.   She stopped all of a sudden, and she doesn’t

Great round-up, thanks. I recall reading about that building in Kazakhstan- it was built in some desolate neighborhood near the rail yards or something, far from shops and restaurants etc that presumably affluent people -buyers or visitors -would want to be near. Just another stinkin’ peculiarity from this bunch.

You’re right about this. Republican or right-wing skeptics are waiting for a single smoking gun, but Mueller’s revelations are going to be an avalanche of criminalities, that they simply will not be able to deny or wipe away. It’s going to be huge, and undeniable.

What’s wrong with art?

She’s the only “alt-right” person I’ve ever seen tweet a defense for the way women and homosexuals are treated under Sharia Law.

Wow, what a thirsty dingbat.

“See all sides” from Yahoo. MSNBC has been running an ad for an app called SmartNews- “”Now I get news from BOTH sides- I trust SmartNews!” say two dingbats in unison. I’m honestly worried how incredibly fucking stupid we are as a country. To quote an old classic Onion article, if Americans degenerate further

Facebook needs to go the way of AOL. Soon.

Oh, that’s cool to know. Thank you. I don’t think there’s ever been a better song about what it feels like when you first fall in love than “Maria”.

AND LITTLE LULU TOO.

Sorry to admit, it’s true, and I am influenced. If I read a blurb from David Sedaris saying Jincy Willett is funny, I believe it and it turns to be often true. Blurbs shouldn’t matter so much, but they do.

Thanks for mentioning Spy Magazine’s “Logrolling in Our Time”, as I was going to.. it was very funny.

Ps. Your daughter sounds like a really cool person, I love that she’s into musicals.  Wish I had added that to my post, but hard to edit in Kinja suckverse.

Yeah, but the rest of it , the musical numbers, were really fucking FABULOUS. And moving, and great. Dunno, maybe tell your daughter that there are 11,000 movies where gangsters are more realistic looking, and most of them suck? ;) West Side Story is a gem, despite its flaws.

If you want, but your original feelings are valid. No need to re-watch, there is so much stuff out there- only go watch what you like and enjoy, life’s too short!, don’t re- watch something that didn’t grab you the first time. All good!  Best to you.

Mike Judge has this real talent for portraying “the way we live now” in an interesting way. Things that are too humdrum and everyday for the rest of us to really notice, but when he shows them, there’s recognition. He’s done that a lot in his career.

I hear that. I just like Sandra Oh. Since Arli$$ I guess, where she was fun.
