I agree fully. I got an 01 TDi with 250,000+ miles and all the paint/coating is coming off. Every time I drive, I try and scrape off as much as possible so get to the bare plastic underneath.

Always put bolts back into place if you can. I always try to not have ANY loose bolts when I disassemble.

Likely the same 2.8 that was offered on the NA Liberty for a while.
