Btw, add Kristine Moore She headed up that sham of a Title IX hearing that illegally withheld evidence from the victim, and then allowed Nassar a say in selecting the “medical experts” to review the case, including one doctor who was later caught stealing files on Nassar’s behalf. Moore has since been promoted to

Fair point, i just think it’s silly to look at this story and be like ‘meh, she’s rich’.. it just takes away from the incredible accomplishments she has achieved (rich or not).

“it’s not a lack of courage or bravery that prevents other 14-year-olds from going on globetrotting adventures.”

I personally would do absolutely nothing

Yeah, I love how people are shitting all over her because her parents have money. Like she isolates herself with $100 bills and skied along a path of gold. Screw the haters. Jade, you are amazing!

expeditions like this are typically heavily subsidized by sponsors and other grants. did her parents help her out? im sure they did. but she has accomplished terrific acts of athleticism, survival, and mental toughness all at a young age. she has accomplished acts that, even 150 years ago, were deemed impossible.

Yeah, the money just picked her up and carried her. :-/

Britt McHenry made me side with a tow trucking company. I hate her for that.

That is not how you distinguish a state employee from a nonstate employee.

If it is a state institution, they are state employees, no matter the source of the funds. That’s like saying a faculty member who is mostly paid by grants is not a state employee. *Former university counsel, here.

They are indeed state employees - or state agency employees. Just because the money which they are paid does not come from taxes, it is still the property of the State. However that doesn’t compel them to answer reporter’s questions.

While it is true they not paid out of the university endowments or with taxpayer funds, college coaches are in fact state employees. That’s part of why you get to know every detail of their contracts.

Also, aren’t they both public employees? Where do they get off thinking they can pick and choose when they want to answer this question and not that one. If they don’t want to answer, the reporters should ask if that is on the advice of their attorney or if, as public employees, they simply don’t feel like they’re

Izzo channeling Jerry Lundegaard with all the “cooperatin’” he’s doing. Darn tootin!

At this point, it’s less “is my school’s Athletic Department scummy?” and more “just how scummy is my school’s Athletic Department?”

I’ve never watched any of her reality tv stints and I’m not going to watch the vid, so I’m not doomed.

Well, you could not watch it.
