I was waiting for this. These Aussies think they’re so cutting edge, but Kramer did the same thing almost 20 years ago!

This is an intriguing idea. A couple questions:

He sure has a big smile on his face, considering he’s standing next to the man responsible for (in his own words) (1) raping the United States for years, (2) manipulating its currency to harm the US, and (3) creating the global warming ‘hoax’ to undermine US manufacturing.

Oh, well, if that’s what they say on a mid-level CBS crime procedural, I guess it must be true.

Our daughter (3.5) is a PITA when it comes to taking medicine, though the chaser idea has worked reasonably well with her. I shoot the medicine in a syringe in the side of the mouth, between the cheek and teeth — avoids most of the taste buds on her tongue. Also, pinching her nose helps too. My son (2), OTOH, has no

The 3" butcher block end grain board I own. The one you always see in epicurean magazines or at the Williams & Sonoma. Never use it. Too heavy, raises the cutting surface too high

YouTube knows that we want to be able to listen to videos without necessarily having to watch them—whether we’re multitasking or the video is just a vehicle for a song—which is why background play in the YouTube is restricted to YouTube Red subscribers.

That’s probably why the author wrote you needed to install the Dolphin browser — b/c it doesn’t work in Chrome.

There’s literally a link to download the track in the Youtube description. If you need the audio, why not just dl it and then you have it whenever, even if you’re in an area of poor reception?

A few ideas spring to mind:

Deadspin was not sued for harassment; Deadspin was sued for invasion of privacy. And with respect to Favre, Deadspin didn’t harass him — he in fact harassed Jenn Sterger with his dick pic — and DS didn’t even invade his privacy — that was blown when Brett sent the pic himself. If you don’t understand the difference,

Straight lying about sex (or virtually anything else) is not a felony, nor is it impeachable. Shit, if it were, virtually every president would’ve been subject to threat of impeachment. But Clinton lied under oath, and that was the problem.

This is a civil matter, not criminal — there is no pardon available for civil matters. And as Bill Clinton learned in the 90s, there’s no presidential protection against civil suits for events occurring prior to winning the White House.

Just so we’re clear here: you do understand that the lawsuit that resulted in Gawker’s bankruptcy was not based on sexual harassment, right?

I think dacrow is correct. For a harassment claim to be actionable, the conduct must create a work environment that would be intimidating, hostile, or offensive to a reasonable person. The disclaimer would give Barstool an argument that an employee wasn’t offended because she signed a contract saying she wouldn’t be

True, but what the attorney did NOT say is “In our answers to the Committee, we informed them that Jared and his wife set up a new email domain and he’s been conducting government work through said email since he got to D.C.”

If sous vide becomes ubiquitous, then those would be problems. I think it’s still niche enough that the impact is negligible (though sure, every bit counts). And there are solutions to both of those issues.

a common fix is to find the “clear cache” section in the settings on your phone

I’ve had actual truffles exactly once and it (sadly) was not a restrained application. Beef carpaccio with a “rainstorm” of shaved truffle. Could not taste/appreciate the beef without pushing the truffle aside, and it still infected the meat. Do not like.
