It’s hard to speculate on exactly how this was achieved, there are many, many different optimization paths to reducing load times, but I strongly suspect why this was achieved is they want to demo this game running on PS5 with effectively 0 load time, and the raw performance improvements of the new architecture…
I’d love to know how this was achieved, have they moved some stuff out of the initial load and into the streaming load that ND games always have running in the background?
Why on Earth do they have dedicated Netflix, YouTube, D+, and Spotify buttons?!? That seems silly. Not everyone who uses the remote will have all four services, and it excludes several other key services and any new ones that might come along in the next, oh, seven years.

$220 is nothing to scoff at, and we still don’t know exactly which NVME drives the PS5 will be compatible with, but we do know they have to be PCIe 4.0 compliant and they aren’t any cheaper.
Oh my god, yes! This is my favorite opening in a Mario game. They always dance around Bowser taking over the Mushroom Kingdom, but here he launches a full strike on a peaceful toad festival AND rips Peach’s castle into space AND pretty much murders Mario right off the bat.
