He’s a weirdo (multiple ways, across decades), but he ain’t wrong.
But Alan Tudyk can still play Skeets.
There are worse choices. Like reading this article. That was a bad choice
“he just lit up the box office in 2021 as one of the Eternals”
It took me four or five tries to get through. Once I did, I was glad I had but wanted to never do it again.
You think I knew the cinematographer but didn’t know Cave wrote the screenplay? It’s a favourite of mine as well, which I would’ve thought clear. Having Cave write the screenplay for Blood Meridian would be a fantastic idea as well. Sorry I didn’t list each and every single person and their position on The Proposition…
I really can’t see any adaptation of Blood Meridian working. While Hillcoat’s The Proposition probably came closest to the tone, with Kent’s The Nightingale a close second, Blood Meridian is a whole other thing. It really doesn’t have a plot in the traditional sense of the word and there’s no way in hell the endless,…
I always imagined Vincent D’Onofrio.
Perhaps my favorite novel of all time, and definitely the book that made me want to write books. Now who in the hell could they get to play Holden? Here’s an off-the-wall idea: Dave Bautista. He’s old enough now, and certainly big enough (one of a very few actors that really is big enough), and maybe, just maybe, he’s…
After The Proposition I’m willing to give anything Hillcoat makes a shot. Hell, I hope he even brings back Delhomme for the cinematography, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis for the score, and Winstone, Huston, and Pearce for roles if they want them. I loved everything about that movie.
A truly glorious and fitting end for the season, and for the show if it comes to that.
Season 2 was so much better than season 1! This story is so much more compelling and layered. I loved the character development for the entire cast Perry, Della, Paul, Burger, and Pete. The symbolism and themes on justice were top notch. I really hope we get a season 3.
She went public on the internet with a nuanced take on a subject?! What an absolute fool!
I liked Camilla as a morally bankrupt civic leader. and Hope Davis was great and far more diabolical than I thought Davis could pull off. No wonder she barely flinched bee-bagging. Initially, I thought the father Lydell was going to be the one pulling strings because Paul Raci just sucks all the wind out of a…
This time, he’s joining the list of celebrated writers, including Roald Dahl, Agatha Christie, and Ian Fleming in censoring new editions of his book[.]
I’m confused as to why Amir messaging from his bedroom is an issue. Would his words be more credible if they were sent from his office?
“Amir in his bedroom in Cairo wrote to me to earnestly appeal that ‘Cleopatra was Greek!’ Oh, Lawd! Why would that be a good thing to you, Amir? You’re Egyptian.”
