Not the immediate issue, but it’s just ridiculous that a sixteen-year old with a lifelong history of mental illness and hospitalization was able to get his hands on a gun. Keeping a firearm in the house under those circumstances is just mindblowing.

To be fair to yourself, leather and meat eating aren’t really two separate issues, just one. The hides for leather are taken from cows slaughtered for meat; just one animal is dying for both things. It’s not like people take hides and leave the meat to rot or vice versa.
