I liked this and I can't wait to see that it was lifted verbatim from last night's Gotham.

Yeah but the show really really really wants the audience to be in favour of these two so the audience has no choice but to watch it happen.
Until Superman, off-screen, tells James to not make out with his cousin because _random reasons_ and then James has to randomly avoid Kara for episodes on end.

Hopefully for the Blu-ray/DVD release they'll just put in the modem sound effect.

I continue to not understand why this show, which is not on HBO or Showtime or any other network that allows the word, has scripts with the word "fuck" in them, and why the scripts are literally read as "fuck" by the actors.

The show is getting closer and closer to making its One True Pairing of James Olsen and Kara Zor-El happen. Kara helped, accidentally, by telling Lucy an anecdote that James for some reason never was open to Lucy about. And James helped by apparently missing out on date night by flying to the Fortress of Solitude

Well Indigo is a material being (I think?) that can … turn herself digital, somehow. So the noise her arms made when she was stretching was the Internet.

Yes. YES very much so.

So I was reading earlier that there sort of are things that are freeze rays. Somehow there's lasers which, instead of hitting atoms in a way that increases their temperature, instead decreases their temperatures. So maybe in the future there would be such a weapon as a freeze ray.

::exasperated sigh::

Megadeth could not be reached for comment on whether they were referring to embryonic stem cells or induced pluripotent stem cells.

Speaking as someone who's read TMitHC, this is a very loose adaptation, and the show has … pretty wildly diverged from what the book's plot is. IOW you could read the book and it wouldn't "spoil" the show or anything.

Looking at the real life examples of government-sanctioned sterilizations in the US and other developed countries, I don't think polio was something being used a criteria for sterilizing people? But I can't tell without researching a bit more into sterilizations than I want to this afternoon… Polio is a disease that

Fighting on Virginia Beach would imply that Norfolk and other naval bases on the Eastern Seaboard were bombed/invaded. Like maybe some major ports were captured and _then_ DC was nuked and that finally broke the back of the US government?

Scully is a scientist who accepts that extraterrestrial DNA was somehow

Oh after he kills off most humans he's gonna drive around in a flying saucer.
Fair enough that's a solid idea.

So was a completely skeletonized-by-fire Cigarette-Smoking Man.

Let me try to rewind to that scene again, it's about 25 minutes in…
"Aliens predicted all of this. They saw it happening to themselves."
Okay so he's saying that aliens saw that humanity was doomed. So he's engineering the almost-extinction of humans, now, in order to theoretically save all (?) humans in the future.
So

Oh that's even more confusing and not at all a giant red flag.

Yeah I can't really remember the exact quote out of Spotnitz now in re: TMitHC.

Yes. Well. Probably; Millennium never really ever talked about aliens, whereas The X-Files has been weirdly noncommital* about whether the armies of Heaven and Hell are real or not.
*See: just last week, where Mulder may or may not have been hearing angelic trumpets????
