How unsafe is it, actually? Can you back that up? How many accidents are caused by lowered cars with excessive negative camber and stretched tires? I've simply never seen a single accident caused by one of these now-illegal cars, and I assume that's due to the fact that the owners simply care more about their vehicles

Give me your stanced, your donked, your bro trucks, yearning to drive free.

Quebec seems to be a place that is pretty much up it's own arse.

Not that I live in Quebec, but my wheels are over an inch wider than stock and my tires are two profile sizes larger than stock, and yeah, my ride height is about an inch lower, and spring rates are essentially doubled, as with damping. My front track width is ~1.5 inches wider than stock. I'm guessing this law would

The Quebecois gov't also bans English on all signs and tries to remove the word "pasta" from Italian restaurant menus. We have a saying up here in Canada. "Fuck Quebec."

You mean Felipe'd over?

Amen. The Mazda6 and Mazda3 are both gorgeous cars, and it looks like they did a great job translating the Hazumi design to the 2. I own the 6 and am really impressed with how well sorted it is.

WE were promised aerodynamic trucks 20 years ago. yet we still have the giant flat front billboard as well as the 1950 throwback peterbuilt designs.. we saw beautiful trucks from Mercedes and BMW back then about how they would get 20+ mpg and they could convoy together to save even more gas.

Prejudice can be a horrible thing and I'm sorry you've had to deal with that. Sadly, it doesn't just stop at cars and perception(s) of wealth.

I really don't see what point that getting rid of the car would have accomplished, save for having her project a more "humble" image that many seem to think she needed. As far as long-term ownership costs go, it looks like that may have been less of an issue, as there long-term goal was to find a way out of her

I went through much the same thing. Income plummeted and we couldn't cover everything. During the two years we were struggling, we were constantly chastised for keeping our two sports cars, both of which everyone thought were worth a gazillion dollars. The Porsche 996 was worth a little over $20k and the Pantera's

The airlines have brought the carry-on annoyance upon themselves.

Hah. My buddy has an old used M3 that he bought for like $1200 to fix up. $1200! You can't even buy a reasonable Toyota for that price.

Also, it's a 10+ year old hatchback; not exactly the vehicle of the contemporary 1%

They're each carved from a solid block of aluminum. I assume you're referring to looks, but they aren't exactly cheap wheels.

On a Civic, that's like a full engine build with Cams, turbo, and downpipe.
