Tough to root for Wisconsin?! Bosh! A more lovable group of basketballing scamps the NCAA has never seen!

All these years later, and the precipitous drop in quality between Seasons 4 and 5 of The West Wing still saddens me. But at least you get to watch "Twenty Five" first! The big reveal at the end is so great.

SCIENCE RULES!

Ah, another Thomas Newman fan! Yup, he's great.

That drives me nuts every time I see it.

Watching the episodes as they aired on NBC had at least one benefit - the credits were always played alongside previews for what aired next, so that disorientingly jaunty music was never heard.

Hooded Justice introduced me to the laborious trailer for Seven Days in May, which goes through, in detail, the events of each of the seven eponymous days, totally spoiling the movie in the process.

Me too! I love a good trailer. A good trailer, one that truly generates anticipation or, very rarely, stands on its own as a memorable piece of entertainment.

Going with the Wind

Ah, interesting! Thanks so much for the info.

The first place I looked was 1997, since I hoped that L.A. Confidential, which has always fared well in the IMDb Top 250, would be the selection. Rats.

This made me laugh quite audibly. Well done!

"That is a deliberate mutilation of a public service message!"

I WANT TO BE AN AIRBORNE RANGER!!!

Heh, that's probably my favorite bit of dialogue in the whole film.

Gosh, yeah, Fred Gwynne and Lane Smith are missed. Thank goodness Bruce McGill and Austin Pendleton are still with us!

Ooooo please please do that! I'd buy many copies!!

He was great on Enlightened, especially in his first appearance, when he discussed his fear of imminent societal collapse. He sold that very well, and even made his character rather sympathetic, if only for a moment.

Man oh man, I'll sure be sad when Philip Baker Hall passes away. He's such a champ.

He also did great work on the stand as an ostensibly respectable automotive expert in My Cousin Vinny!
