Homer's random and impassioned defense of Jackie Kennedy in that episode is one of my favorite moments of the series.

John Swartzwalderaan.

Destroyed by the Death Strunk!

I just love how faint the praise is - "unusual flavor all its own," "not quite like anything I've ever tasted," heck, he says he "likes" it, not even that he loves it. That whole commercial is a work of art!

I've heard that's an awesome film, but I've never seen it. Have you?

I think Spencer Tracy's performance in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? is one of the more likable I've ever seen. I know how awful he could get when the cameras weren't rolling, but onscreen, I loved that character.

"I love the unusual flavor of Orson Welles shit." - James Mason

Grace! That sinister-looking kid is coming to kill me!

I couldn't agree more. At that moment, the Vice President, who not long ago had merely been flotsam on the ticket, better suited to tea with the Duponts than affairs of state, is suddenly confronted with the heaviest of burdens - and rises to the opportunity. I watched that for the first time recently, and I liked it (and Grodin was of course hilarious), but damned if its ending isn't a real downer. Poor Jack Warden just sits there heartbroken.

Bully!

I went to a TMBG concert the other day and was hoping that they'd do "James K. Polk." Sure enough, BAM, last song of the show. I yelled so loud I almost went hoarse.

Give me Lew Ayres in Advise & Consent any day. His Harley Hudson is one of my all-time favorite fictional politicians.

I'll give an honorable mention to Hubert Humphrey in Primary. I love him in that documentary - the man even knew the intricacies of soil! - and am still deeply sad that he never became president.

Jackson Evans is one of my favorite fictional presidents. I especially enjoyed Lurie's decision to make him a second-termer. Evans's combination of charm and principle make him a completely believable character.

"Good news, Khaleesi! We took the city for you, freed all the slaves, and look, I made you this macaroni necklace!"
"Where is Daario Naharis?"
"Sigh."

YOU! YOU KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN AND YOU DIDN'T STOP IT! THE EXPERTS DIDN'T STOP IT! YOU LET IT HAPPEN!

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Yeah, I was so excited by Varys's triumphant return that I wanted to stand up and cheer. But then I decided to follow his example and smirked bemusedly instead.
