Essie makes some amazing colors, but they have all taken 2-3 coats to look nice for me. OPI is solid and has pretty colors, but I am such a stan for all things Sally Hanson...so cheap, so good.

AGREED. I have this fabulous blue color (something about a cabana? whatever, too lazy to google) from Essie but it takes a minimum of 2 coats to look solid, and 3 to look vibrant.
