Emmitt Smith’s Lock Of The Week!

SAME. I preach the Active everywhere forever, because I work out semi-often and have had excellent luck with Old navy stuff (and have for years). I have pants, tops, and sports bras from there and can just toss them in the wash with no special care, and they’ve lasted me for ages. I can’t afford expensive stuff, and

Yup, same. All my workout gear (save shoes, obvs) comes from Old Navy. Their Active line is cheap (especially when it’s on sale) and super functional. I’ve been getting their yoga pants for years and love them so hard.

That. is. my. SHIT.

Probably similar to the Minnesota guys...just anti-government instead of racist. At least for where they shot up.

Yeah, but she was a Democrat, so...

It’s not terrorism because the right believes the same things he does - but they just won’t go as far as he did. That doesn’t mean that they don’t ultimately share the same ideology...but terrorism is reserved for scary brown people, not God-fearing Christians.

I hate Northwestern with the blistering, undying passion of a thousand suns. My office is also on their campus, which has only served to increase that hatred tenfold. Their students are truly insufferable already: high on the smell of their own piss that they got into “the Ivy League of the Midwest” (aka their parents

Khloe Kardashian says she works out better when she’s “sad or upset.” Her next book will probably be called Exercise Looks Better Angry. [Celebitchy]

That explains quite a lot...the note reminded me quite a lot of how my mother, also bipolar, sounded when she went off of her meds/they stopped being effective after long spans of time.

Let’s be real though: if I traveled back in time to college and was dancing with a guy at a frat party, and he busted out a full-on jitterbug interspersed with high kicks, I would probably bang him like a screen door in a hurricane because that is commitment.

It was a really interesting dichotomy, to be sure - La Défense is kinda weird unto itself, but in a really pleasing way. Part of the reason they stuck it wayyyy out there is pragmatic (kinda hard to dig a skyscraper foundation through catacombs, underground utilities, wartime bunkers, the Métro, and 18th century

That is precisely the image I was thinking of when posting that... :)

Yup. My mom picked up MRSA from visiting my grandma in the hospital, which required a separate hospitalization at a separate hospital. Fun times!

This is just a goddamn work of art.

This is such an excellent summary of the Paris I encountered - well said! I feel like those who go in with the expectation of Paris to look like...well, Pinterest, they’re going to have a bad time. Paris, like every other major city, is many things - but it is first and foremost a city, albeit a large and incredibly

Beautifully written piece!

That’s hilarious...I had the opposite experience, in that I was consistently praised for “sounding French” despite somehow also being American. Most French people (especially in Provence, but it happened in Paris as well) assumed me to be British, or maybe Canadian as I spoke it fluently with a Parisian accent.

Yup - there are certain pharmaceuticals that bring me great joy (here’s lookin’ at ya, Xanax and Percocet), and I stay away from them accordingly unless circumstances are dire. I don’t feel that developing a pill popping habit is going to really do much for improving my life, you know?

“That money should be going towards homeless children veterans! But don’t you dare raise my taxes trying to cover it!”
