THIS! I get so uncomfortable when I see these kinds of photos/videos popping up on social media. This is traumatic and manipulative, not effective discipline.

In that case, cutting your hair made perfect sense: you weren’t taking care of it, so it was being cut. To cut a girl’s hair for something entirely unrelated to it, like a behavioral thing, is just cruel.

A fainting couch for all seasons!

I work with mostly male engineers, and while they are by and large awesome and mature people, you’re damn right I hide those tampons when I have to carry them to the bathroom. There are maybe 8 total women in a company of 35, so we usually just end up stashing some in the bathrooms for our usage and trust each other…

Man, this is going to be an expensive trip to Couches-R-Us.

I’ve read Julia Child’s memoir about five or six times now...it’s like my reading comfort food (yes, pun intended). You can definitely tell that she had a heavy hand in putting it together, in that you can 1000% hear her voice in your head relating a bunch of stories to you - it’s just an overall interesting time…
