Not to be too pedantic or anything, but Oliver’s grilling of Hoffman happened at an event that was meant to be blithe chit chat about a movie, so I think that might be what Baldwin was getting at (of course, it’s entirely possible that he has no idea who Oliver is or what his show is like).

Well I’m pissed that some actor is taking away a valuable slot on Saturday Night Live with an unfunny impression that’s worn out its welcome and relies on tired material while trying to spin it into something bigger for his career.

Of course they want Waititi! Who could pass up the opportunity to fire such a fantastic director a couple months into filming?

James McAvoy has gone from gentle, tiny Scotsman who stars in period dramas to hugely buff action man seemingly overnight and I am surprised.

Right? That seems to be more of the outrage coming from Hoffman and his biggest supporters, doesn’t it? Not that an innocent man is being accused of something, but that the rabble is attacking their ‘betters’.

True, but I haven’t yet heard what the audience at the Way the Dog 20th Anniversary screening were saying. I was thinking more of Hoffman’s celebrity defenders like Rappaport, Ron Perlman (who I usually adore), and the film’s producer, Jane Rosenthal, and their weak-ass excuses.
