“...Larry David’s ‘90s sitcom...”

I feel like there was someone else who would probably find Seinfeld at least somewhat inaccurately described in this manner.

Anyone know who I’m talking about? He co-created the show with David?

This is so frustrating. I can hear the voice of the guy I’m thinking of.

He looked a little

Watched it for 30 minutes, laughed more than I have at 30 minutes of “written” comedy in ages. It’s absurd, it doesn’t make any sense, and because it’s not adhering to typical formulaic comedy tropes or setups it is able to surprise you (destruction of an expectation is the root of the majority of good comedy).

I’ll

I’ll start this by saying that anyone is free to feel insulted by whatever they feel insulted by. But I - an Asian-American living in a third world country - really think this criticism is stretching a bit.

Looks like Greg Ellis left out the part where he asked people to follow him on Parler for the real story.

You posted for the first time in eight years for THAT?

Ah yes, the most dastardly of smear campaigns: quoting the offender verbatim, and in context!

My husband is tempted to get Disney Plus just for the Mandalorian (which I understand was the intention). But I convinced him that all we really need is to watch clips of Baby Yoda for free on the internet.

So yes, of course I’ll be seeing this in the cinema. But I’ll be really sullen about it

Support thread for folks who found both Force Awakens and TLJ boring and realized you’ll never love Star Wars as much as you did as a child and that’s ok

This is a movie directed by the same man who directed Star Trek: Into Darkness

considering the movie seems to get blasted everywhere, for once they can’t blame dowd for delivering the bad review (which are pretty much always right)

Um. From Eurogamer:

I don’t know. This seems like a pretty even handed and generally positive review. The Kotaku review is certainly heaping praise on it. Either of them only really mentions the political parallels as an aside.

Besides which, I’d imagine you could take the clumsy politicising of the plot either way. Either your mission to

This season is garbage, CGI dragons galore, and a little fan service thrown in.

Knowing that I will be in the minority with this opinion, I will be brave and express it anyway —
