Sorry, I missed that, what's that about Kate's husband again?

Um, six seasons and a movie? That's a thing people here say, right?
24, Season 10: A Clash of Presidents
"The proper ranking, by the way, goes two, one, five, three, four, seven, eight, six."
I haven't watched this yet, I'm still 2 (I think) episodes behind, but I felt compelled to come here to register my disappointment with the solid C this episode got. That's not making me want to watch.
This is a slightly (slightly) different version than the one that got taken down, by somebody else. The one this article is about was reposted here:
Aw, I really liked this version. Has anyone reposted it elsewhere?
Actually, the part where they cut to the train platform after showing the pictures (having skipped over the bit in the hospital). They come into Ted's narration mid-sentence, and there's one minor bit of wording which is off grammatically.
This…. actually works very, very well. Apart from one small and largely-unavoidable hiccup, it's seamless.
As a theoretical physicist, I can officially confirm that … that's nonsense.
Nope. I'm super glad we got a season with Tracy, even if she wasn't in it enough and they didn't stick the landing (understatement of the century.)
Maybe. There are a few possible valid points the finale could have been making. Sad points, sure, sadder than I'd like for a comedy, but good points nonetheless.
I agree wholeheartedly with the thing you wrote last night :)
Wait, really? He had Ellie because of a one-night stand he had while being nearly the exact same character he was towards the beginning of the show (only a decade and a half older). This was my biggest problem with Barney's resolution - that the development he went through over the last few seasons had absolutely no…
Yes, in the universe where the Mother dies, Ted going after Robin makes sense, for the reasons you mention. But why go to that universe in the first place?
The problem is, it started being massively about Tracy by Season 9, when - by most fans' accounts - her appearances comprised many of the season's highlights, and her chemistry with Ted turned out to be so much better than his with Robin. What the show was about changed, and the ending should have changed with it.
They didn't even have to film multiple endings. They could have - should have - realized that the show had ended up somewhere far from where they (apparently) originally intended it to, and scrapped the footage as a result. So we wouldn't get a reaction shot, so the show would, maybe, just end with Bob Saget's "and…
Exactly. One of the biggest crimes with this finale was that they underserved the actual story in service to their framing device.
Wow. That actually hits all the bases. Why aren't you Craig Thomas or Carter Bays, hmmm?
Gas leak year!
