It is literally an Impreza with better ground clearance. Thats the point

We live in a cultural moment in which the majority of people interpret the world through consumer choices. The modern culture wars are largely fought on the grounds of consumer economics and choices.

Yeah but it’s really great PR Bullshit

Notwithstanding all the marketing puffery, there’s nothing sustainable about this. A half-baked ‘lab’ to study climate change in a giant floating luxury condominium? Complete bullshit.

Basically, pay your new people a fair wage, otherwise youll shoot yourself in the foot long term.

Delta can be pretty ok if you pick the right seat. Same with JetBlue if you upgrade. Virgin anything is really good, normally. At least those try on their domestic flights. Anything international is a whole different topic.

Seems like a great idea but how long’s the lead time? Like if I’ve made up my mind to buy a car and found one on the lot that fits my personal specifications, I’ll buy it that day. But if lead times on made to order Fords are months and months and months, people would just lose patience and buy a competitor’s vehicle.

I see what they are getting at, but by and large fords are just “cars”

Ford Edge. I am late to the party but hear me out.

I agree on the Escape, as a tall person, I do not enjoy riding in one. As for Subaru, they’re struggling with QC during the shortage. It’s best to buy used if buying Subaru.

I saw some youngsters in a first-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee driving in my neighborhood yesterday morning. One of them was asleep in the front seat, another one was in the back jamming with the music. The driver was a no-nonsense young lady who was shirtless. Written on the car’s windows was its price: $1,000,

I have a 5 year old Outback, we’ve had it since new. Its boring sure. But it is an absolutely brilliant family car. Its comfortable, its spacious and yet no larger than a previous gen Hyundai Santa Fe, its well equipped, EyeSight makes it semi-autonomous in traffic. Its just a good car. Its slow sure, but a good car

We babied just fine with a Subaru Impreza hatchwagon thing.

Is Kia/ Hyundai a non-starter for you? They’ve got a decent selection of smaller suv/cuvs. Also, I feel like its grown in its age into more of a mid size but everone I know who has gotten a new Tiguan has enjoyed it thus far.

I’d stay away from the big 3 in general, though the existing Fords are the least bad. If you can sneak your way into a Buick, that might be OK too.

per wife’s orders.”

You don’t have to lie to her about the Outback. With the most recent iteration they added more height and it’s legally defined as an SUV, not a station wagon, now. Any used, older generations would be wagons though.

Not sure how tall you are, but the escape with a car seat can be a very tight fit. Even out grand Cherokee has it wedged in the seat back from the reverse facing. Just saying the small ones get a LOT smaller with the car seats.

They’re all going to be boring. I have a kid and have still held onto my Corvette for going on eight years, so when I think about car shopping I’m always ‘mehhhhhhh.’

All the reasonable features above and absolutely no door dings (ever)? Nice Price all day.
