Somebody from inside the company wanted him gone... I don’t think it’s that much of a stretch. I’m sure that he made plenty of enemies over the years.

It seems weird to see a white-collar crime actually being prosecuted in Japan. For all of its deserved reputation as being a place that is relatively free from violent crime, corruption/bribery/bid-rigging/financial shenanigans are extremely commonplace throughout business and government. Of course, by massive…
So if I were to go back 20 or 30 years and say to myself, this is what economy cars will look like in the year 2020, would I have been pretty happy? Yeah, I think so. Would have been impressed. Of course it’s no flying car or anything, but this is a lot of neat stuff packed into what is supposed to be an entry-level…
Sunderland, where the giant Nissan UK plant is located, was supposedly one of the most pro-Brexit areas of the country. This, despite the fact that the whole point of the Nissan factory is to build cars to export to Europe. This isn’t exclusively an American thing.
Fascinating in 2018 to see Nick Foles on that list. I guess that everybody’s got a chance at redemption. Blaine Gabbert, there’s hope for you yet! [OK, maybe not.]
The Yaris is not well-regarded amongst that segment
I don’t care what color the glass is, after seeing those pictures, I want one. Yes, I know about the slushbox auto... still want one.
Wishful thinking on my part, I suppose.
Intrigued, but ultimately repulsed. For some reason I thought that it was going to be a factory stick shift, but as soon as I found out it was a conversion, I started heading for the exits.
I can’t speak for McLaren, but when my company worked on a fairly high-end ($100k plus) sports car, we had to test our parts in temperatures ranging from “Edmonton Winter” to “Sahara Desert”, and everything in between. But they’re British, so who knows. Maybe they only tested at 50 degrees F, cloudy with light rain.
Same thing could be said for East Tennessee, which was actually pro-Union at the time, but now is more “confederate” than any place that was actually in the confederacy. But dear God, don’t even try to tell any of the locals that.
It might sound strange, but I knew they were done in 2017 when they got the winning streak record. The 2001 Mariners and the 2002 A’s didn’t win the title, and I figured the same thing would happen to the Indians as well. Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. Still we gotta hang in there. One day it will be worth…
My rule of thumb is that Hondas have some of the best cars and some of the worst dealers. Seems like almost everyone I know has had a bad experience at a Honda dealer- and it’s cost them potential sales as well.
3 teams so far- get ready to make it 4?
Fellow inherited Cleveland fan here. It’s the kind of thing that will keep you up at night. Game 7 of the 2016 World Series still haunts me.

Don’t you mean SecureFoam™? Or do trademarks not exist after the Franchise Wars?

I hear what you’re saying, but Miami might not be the most representative example here. I’ve never seen such “shit house/nice car” contrast anywhere else in the entire country. A couple of Porsches parked in the yard in front of dump isn’t even particularly noteworthy.
Rule of thumb:
