When I buy a game from CDPR, Rockstar or Bioware, I’m expecting a good story with interesting characters. CP77 had bigger problems than its writing but it’s a problem that can’t really be fixed. Why would I want to spend more time with V? He’s a dullard.

I know I’ll lose my membership card but I never really understand why things like this count in the bad “Bury Your Gays” trope, since Villanelle herself was pretty routinely and sadistically burying gays all by herself.

Honestly, the ban might be a good thing for him. First of all, it’s not an exaggerated punishment; not being able to stream isn’t exactly a human rights violation. He won’t be able to do that thing he likes doing, but should he? He doesn’t seem to have the temper for it, and he’s not in a comfortable position right

The writers of No Scrubs are credited on the song.

Honestly, I would like a Short Round spinoff way more than an Indiana Jones reboot, where another actor tries to copy Harrison Ford but just sucks at it. A Short Round movie would be new enough to have a chance to succeed.

I did defeat Mad Pumpkin Head using the same “strategy”. It wasn’t as intentional; my controller disconnected mid-fight...

I’m still on the fence about this. I loved her first story arc, which dealt directly with her feelings about being an immigrant and an outsider, with her background as a Muslim-American giving the comic a nice personality.

It really shouldn’t be this hard. Hollywood seems to think that once you have an IP, you don’t have to work as hard on the basic elements of a good movie/TV show, like writing, acting, and directing.

The problem is, it’s not as much about the Williamses as it is about the twitter mob, and there is no point in being the bigger, forgiving man if you’re anonymous anyway. This could follow her for a while.

I don’t like this at all. Shawn Levy is one of the most mediocre director in Hollywood and gets work only because comedians seem to like him and he let them do improv on set. I was hoping Disney could attract a bigger talent for the franchise, like a Waititi, or a Gunn.

I was only a kid back then but I remember being in denial. It might have been the first movie with a sad ending I ever watched.

If it’s really the Juno Temple role we’re talking about, that’s a lot of fuss for a minuscule role. I remember wondering why Temple even took the part; she was never a big star but she was worth more than what was essentially a cameo. She may have been cast because she looked like Holly Robinson (which would explain

I don’t think timing has anything to do with it. The particularity of Nolan’s trilogy is that they fit perfectly with the rest of his filmography; he didn’t change or compromise his style just to reach a bigger audience. And what we’ve learned since he’s left the franchise is that his style is still quite popular,

I did not remember the five films that were nominated for Best Picture that year. I don’t give much importance to Oscars or any other awards show - choosing the “best” of subjective categories is a thankless task and will never make everyone happy - but time hasn’t been kind to that selection. Frankly, both The Dark

Meh. For a pre-Nolan trilogy movie, I found this perfectly acceptable. It tries to be more for kids than the Burton films (or almost every superhero film released since) and it can be a bit jarring; this isn’t what we expect from a Batman movie anymore. But Schumacher was clearly going for a Golden/Silver Age or 60s’

This comment is so out of place. It has nothing to do with the show, or the people making the show. Should we comment on China’s human rights violation every time a Chinese filmmaker releases a movie? Should we mention that The A.V. Club is based in the United States, a country largely build by slaves?

Christian Bale is my favorite Batman ever. Part of it might be that he’s arguably the most talented actor to ever tackle the role (although the versatile Keaton isn’t far behind and Pattinson is still rising) but the biggest reason is that Batman Begins is just by far the best showcase the character ever had. Nolan

For me, Iron Man 3 is the very definition of a C+ movie - it’s not outright bad but it’s not good either. And the Mandarin twist created so many consistency issues in the MCU: if Killian created the Mandarin just to get revenge at Stark, then who was the Ten Rings organization who had Stark at their mercy but never

I’m 5'6" but I’m not offended by this. This sounds like it was said in jest.

In all fairness, he’s mostly complaining that CDPR did not give an updated road map. You don’t have to rush your devs for that.
