This movie is hard to grade. On one hand, the fan service moments worked for me (I am, after all, a fan) and I didn’t get bored once during the film; it kept me fully entertained throughout. One could argue that this is enough, that I shouldn’t ask for more, and that might very well be true.

Which would make complete sense because Yelena has never met the person who actually hired her, and yet, she still got hired.

As a long time Black Widow fan, I found it deeply satisfying to watch Yelena provide a crucial rebuttal to Kate’s assertion that Clint saved the world. “No, my sister saved the world,” Yelena counters. “Natasha Romanoff saved the world.” For a cinematic universe that couldn’t even be bothered to give one of its

I really don’t like the duo Vaughn/Millar. They don’t care about their characters at all and I have a problem watching their films with detachment required and still enjoy myself.

I completely agree. When they talk about politics, celebrities are often told to stay in their lane. Now, we have actors, a writer, and a producer reacting to an article written about their friend and colleague, published in a show business magazine, and they’re told to care about more important stuff? Come on!

I read some of the Kirby comics and a lot of your criticism apply to it as well. There was a lot of work on developing a concept but not enough on characterization.

I don’t intend to ever watch the Snyder cut; I don’t like his other films so why should I punish myself with this one?

I get what you’re saying but at the same time, Smollett is a celebrity and went very public with his scam. That means more public pressure and likely more resources wasted. And since he still denies that he lied, an open-ended case would probably have allow him to double down on his claims, hurting the Justice system

“Make Linda Cardellini a superhero, you cowards!!”

We have a tendency to imagine every victim is a good person even though bad stuff happen to bad people as well; I felt bad for Ted Cruz when Donald Trump insulted both his dad and his wife but at the end of the day, he’s still Ted Cruz.

Just do one thing: change his damn costume! I hated it so much, I felt it was anti-climatic when he put it on, which is the opposite effect it should have.

but despite its acclaim, Batman: The Animated Series itself has oddly been left untouched by the modern revival/reboot boom.

which he’d reportedly been told was “cold,” i.e., containing only dummy rounds, by first assistant director Dave Halls

I’ve said this before but here we go again: “Hollywood” isn’t a thing. It’s a word used to describe the film industry. Sometimes, it’s limited to the American film industry; sometimes it’s the film industry in general; other times it’s to talk about celebrities, American or not.

This article doesn’t even say the whole story: McKay didn’t tell Ferrell he didn’t get the part; Riley had to go tell him himself!

That episode was definitely an A for me. Everything just clicked: the action scenes, the comedy, the dramatic scenes, the acting in general... By the time the credits were rolling, I was convinced that 6 episodes of this duo wouldn’t be enough. Bishop and Barton might be different from their comic counterparts but the

The gamers who played on opening day thought they were getting a revolutionary, next-gen RPG. Those who bought the game for $30 have had months to read articles about how disappointing the game was. I think the expectations could not be further apart, and certainly influence the score.

I didn’t think the premiere was very good. Rosamund Pike is a fine actress but a lot of the cast look like they could be starring in She’s All That. Fantasy or not, you have to at least try to make your show look like a medieval piece...

Thanks, I didn’t notice that. It might have been that I think “Nate” is closer to “Natasha” than “Nathaniel”, so I didn’t make the connection when I heard it.

I don’t know if it’s a detail that was told before or if I just noticed it but I liked the touch:
