Rape culture negatively affects everyone, men and women. I never said or implied any different.

Based on what I have read on the subject, prison rape (of men and women) is probably the most under-reported form of rape in the nation that occurs. This is obviously a huge problem.

Interpretation is totally subjective and I completely understand why someone wouldn't find it offensive, even within context. There are multiple sides to every argument.

I think the problem with the merchandise was not that it referenced a comic strip, but that in context with the larger controversy it is a symbol of a group of people (Penny Arcade and dickwolf supporters) that are dismissive and indignant in regards to criticism on behalf of rape victims.

That is a good point that some of the original critics also made. The joke could have easily been made with a less-sensitive subject, and still retained the actual punchline AND avoided controversy.

I never said Penny Arcade's comic was laughing at the victim. When I state that rape jokes are fine as long as they are not targeting the victim, I am clearly speaking about general comedy; which is why I said the joke in the comic is fine.

I know that, which I was I stated that the original joke is not the problem. Penny Arcade's insensitive and dismissive responses to criticism are the problem, in my opinion.
