This makes a lot of sense.

That’s the problem with these snarky regurgitated articles. The original NYTimes piece was a mildly stuffy, sure, but it was also way more nuanced and informed about the subject matter. (That is, exhibits at the Brooklyn Museum and art criticism in general.)

It sounds like this is not really a Broadway show as they've come to be be delineated. Perhaps they could have mounted it at one of the many, many other venues in NYC. Otherwise, play by union rules.

Young me was so mad at the waste of such a great cast. I remember this movie as one of the first where I was aware that just because you have great people, it doesn't mean you'll get a great movie.

I don't get the love for the Parks & Rec finale. I thought it was way too self-indulgent.

I don’t know anything about this guy but if he is indeed a racist shithead it’s not weird to condemn him. What is weird is treating a living breathing human like a brand and caring more about brand integrity than the possibility that maybe someone dating a racist has racist leanings themselves. But we're so far gone

That one was sadly very justified

Maybe it's just been too long since I watched it, but I wouldn't classify Frank as a comedy. It has awkward comedic moments but my lingering sense of it is tragedy.

Time on his hands indeed.

This one hurts.

I’m perfectly content to continue pretending that fant4stic doesn't exist laaa laaaa laaaa

At the end of the day, these are just rich people living their silly little rich people lives. Folksy charm can only mask that so much.

I miss having a phone I could clumsily knock against the edge of my desk without having the screen shatter into a million pieces. Actually my pixel isn’t terrible for that, but any iphone I’ve had has been extremely precious even with screen protectors. Anyway, the last holdouts for blackberry I can recall seeing were

What a waste of Kang, though. I prefer a recast.

Thanks, this is very interesting context.

I didn't know about this. It explains so much.

That’s nice.

I was reading the book in public and a child very loudly came up to me and asked why I was reading it and if I was going to blow up a pipeline. I didn’t really know how to appropriately respond in the moment and so just said “Why not?” Anyway at least I have a copy before someone decides to ban it for damaging

So: out-foxy?

Nah man. Don't bring kids into your weird jokes. The original comment by grandma was weird enough.
