Now that EVs are a thing, there is a competitive effect to these fines.

When does a houseboat discontinue being a boat?

Oh I don’t disagree that the truck is a great place to be! I didn’t get rid of mine and essentially passed it on to my wife. She now DD’s the truck while I drive the wagon. She WFH 4 days a week so although she only gets ~16-18mpg, it really doesn’t add up. Its great to have around for towing and home projects on the

No issues and I have driven in 4 inches of snow no issues (proper shoes of course).

Driving an HD truck daily isn’t so bad.

question: is a Tesla Y more of a cross-over?

would I have to upgrade my electric service, too?

(not to mention the extra $200 a year in mounting-remounting I’ve had to pay)

Still better than a DCT/PDK IMO.

There are very few BOF SUV’s anymore and the SUV term has been morphed by regular people to include unibody vehicles like the grand cherokee and explorer

It’s an ‘84 with a carb. You don’t *need* OBD-II to diagnose it. Still, huge ND.

I agree with this. I’ve been running snow tires for a long time and when I bought my alltrack mid-winter I didn’t have time/desire to source wheels/snow tires because we had other snow-equipped cars. I drove it quite a bit in the snow on all seasons and it was pretty mediocre. It could get going just fine even in deep

seconded as an alltrack and SUV owner!

For $9k I would rather a Ford Ranger. You get the small truck you want with more power, more capability, and OBDII to help with diagnostics in the future. Much younger truck too. If you want rust-free, they can easily be found in various parts of the country - just not Hudson Valley NY

This! I hardly go out of my way to find cheaper gas in my daily routine, no way I would make a whole trip for this unless I could get huge amounts of gas. I would look up DOT and import restrictions on fuel, but if I could put a 200gal fuel cell in the bed of my truck, I would definitely consider it as that may last

I could only imagine a TJ or cherokee with this new motor. Those things weigh ~3000lbs

an e-Golf with decent range in the US I’d reserve one tomorrow

Add cornflower blue to the palette!

The now defunct base Golf and Sportwagons were really ideal packages with just enough performance to keep drivers happy too

True! They also have PHEV golf and Passat wagons. I love my alltrack form factor, I hope there is a good replacement for it in the next few years. The volvo is a good option, but quite a bit more expensive
