The Ford Lightning: Its the first full-sized electric truck. It would give me more performance than my gas truck has to offer, while enjoying the same $/mi as a ~50mpg car. It would be higher if my electricity wasn’t so expensive. It has the added benefit of being able to power my house in an outage. I have a

you have never owned a [decent] boat.

Someone hasn’t seen all the announcements for PHEV and EV trucks and SUVs coming to market.

The problem is, lots of people (mainly the OEMs and regulating bodies) have very different opinions on how long “yet” lasts.

I suppose iterative improvements are rarely a step backwards so this is not a bad thing!

Maybe. Sucks for those who have decided to commute to work in Canyoneros for sure.

Exactly. I have nothing against the train, I just don’t want to pay more for less convenient, slower, and less reliable. If I now saved money, its easy to justify the other downsides. It could also push some people to buy electric cars, which would not be a bad thing. Electricity would presumably be carbon taxed if it

This is nothing.

I’d also like a carbon tax...

What were you paying in late February 2019? Gas prices change seasonally as well...

I’ll just wait for the R1T to scale up to finally hit my reservation number.

I hope my local Ford dealer isn’t going to markup. I too have a reservation for a lightning and haven’t even been asked to configure it. I’m not going to pay a markup on an electric truck knowing that the Silverado EV is right behind it with better specs. I also threw in the deposit for that one. One thought is to get

There’s no reason whatsoever that Mazda should release a RWD/I6 sedan in this market

It also has a different AWD system

If its like a wrangler top, once you load it with snow, it flexes the top lower and you will get wavy windows. While you can  let snow accumulate on soft tops like this, it won’t do it any favors in the long run

Real windows too!
