While this is generally true, I am sure Bezos is on the hook for dismantling and more. There is likely some deferred maintenance that needs to be completed, inspections, etc that will now all fall on his shoulders. Not to mention this ship and now its associated move will have infused millions into the local economy.

The central section of the bridge. Its a drawbridge. Bezos will dismantle the center section, sail his boat through, then reassemble at his cost. This is more than just a bridge to the citizens though.

More consistency and forecasting will make logistics better/possible. No rush locks you into a window, not a day, so they can time your order with neighbor Jim’s order. The incremental time to service a second or 3rd order is small if it is a few hundred feet away.

Why can’t they partially disassemble the damn boat?

Seriously, I don’t need the tchotchke I bought to be delivered in one day. It can be next week, it’s fine.

Unfortunately, I am not surprised there

Fuelly is a good option to do the same. With enough data points, the noise in the data becomes insignificant and it becomes a good representation of the entire population. The EPA ratings are rarely how people actually drive their cars.

Agreed. The animals may be destined to die, but killing them with exposure or dehydration is downright cruel. Its -40F with windchill on the american side of that border crossing right now. Luckily, after tomorrow, they will be in somewhat of a warm spell

Yes, the published average is 1mpg better. The reality is that it is greater. The Golf R regularly exceeds published numbers, the WRX does not. My wife’s R regularly got ~30mpg per tank in mixed driving

They’ll bring them back to the US when and if it makes sense to.

But the WRX is known for getting even worse mileage than its rated at and the GTI can consistently get better.

Yeah well the gti is front wheel and the wrx is all wheel. That has a large impact

I actually started to look for xoxoitzcuintli dogs. My wife was always very allergic to my old dogs and after they died and we moved in together. She was allergic to even dogs that were supposed to be hypoallergenic. I obviously didn’t care about what kind of dog or what it really looked like so I thought I would go

The people that barely slow down (and don’t signal either!) and just drive on through are the TPOS ones.

Or a focus on community policing. Sowing division through petty tickets is not a good way to gain community support when its needed most.

That sounds like they had too many police for the level of crime. In a town with a balanced budget and a focus on community policing, they aren’t ticketing for rolling stops(<5mph, not blown stop signs). They may pull you over to check you out on a Friday night, but they aren’t issuing tickets.

I don’t roll stops because I’m not a TPOS driver

Exactly, you can even sleeve a pipe over one end to give more leverage!

Depending on how cold it is, a heater could make or break whether you do a job or wait for warmer weather. It can get cold enough that the required gloves would restrict or even prevent wrenching. Unfortunately cars don’t wait for warm weather to break.

That’s not even a six-point!
